SUPER☆GiRLS promote fashion dolls and announce 1st single

Yesterday on January 25th, Avex idol group SUPER☆GiRLS members Yasaka SaoriShimura Rika,Kanou KaedeArai ReiraTanaka Mirei, and Maeshima Ami attended the “Toy Forum 2011” to present a special collaboration project with the Tomy Fashion Doll “Jenny.”
This year was the 25th anniversary for the “Jenny” doll and Tomy decided that 2011 would host the new fashion theme of “school girl” for the brand.  Japanese school uniforms on high school students and idols have garnered attention from all over the world and the company decided to use this international appeal for their doll with SUPER☆GiRLS acting as collaborative models.
The announcement of the collaboration also came with news that the idol group would be releasing their first official single, “Ganbatte Seishun,” on March 23rd.  This will be the first step in the collaboration as they will be wearing outfits to match the doll line.  Following the single’s release on March 31st Tomy will released the Jenny dolls wearing the identical school girl outfits.
The collaboration made members of the idol group very happy.  Arai Reira commented with a smile that, “back when I was little I would play with Jenny dolls, being able to dress her up in our uniform makes me very happy.
SUPER☆GiRLS will also be featured on the TV Tokyo anime series  ”Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream” as the ending theme starting in April.
